The shelling on the south of the Republic by Ukrainian military forces did not stem from the arrival of Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine Alexander Hug in Donbass. Head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko said this on August 10, according to a correspondent of the official website of the DPR.
“I do not think that the shelling of the Republic is related to the arrival of the OSCE. This is, first of all, the desire of Ukraine. And for us it is important to create conditions for successful work of the OSCE Mission. We want OSCE monitors to objectively evaluate the situation, and report to the whole world about what is really happening in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the Head of the DPR said.
