The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic conducts active legislative drafting activities - Eduard Yakubovskiy

The Supreme Court of the DPR conducts active legislative drafting activities, as well as other spheres of activities. The information was given to the official website of the Donetsk People's Republic correspondent in an exclusive interview with Eduard Yakubovskiy, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the DPR.

“In addition to the activities of the Chambers we conduct other various kinds of activities that do not come into the view of the Heads of the Chambers. Let's say this is legislative activity. We expect consideration of our bills of the laws on the judiciary of the DPR, which, in accordance with the Constitution, is to be regulated only by laws. Now has begun quite an active work in this field. The Committee of the People's Council of the DPR on constitutional legislation has already twice met on the preparation and consideration of these bills at the plenary meeting. There are a number of other points. For example, the Head of the Republic recently signed a decree on appointing judges to our courts. Now, with the exception of Shakhtyorsk, we will have judges in every city. This is essential for citizens. Thus, cases that were investigated in Dokuchaevsk were heard in Voroshilovsky inter-district court of Donetsk. Now a judge has already been appointed to Dokuchaevsk,” – commented Eduard Yakubovskiy.
