Retraction of information published by "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" issue

On March 1, 2018, "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" posted an article "Stories of Russian Prisoners in Donbas Shed Light on Local Lawlessness" with a subtitle "Real Torture".

The Press Service of the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic informs that the information contained in this article concerning persons who, according to the "MK", are Russian citizens, does not fully correspond to reality.

The article lists the following persons: "Buksha Vladimir Vladimirovich, has been in the pre-trial detention center of the DPR for almost two years. He served in the "Avgust" battalion.

Korneyev Nikolay Arkadyevich, 07/06/1992, Moscow. Arrested on 05/30/2015.

Pudov Al’bert Vladimirovich, Novosibirsk, call sign "Avgust". 52 years old».

Concerning the above-mentioned persons, the Press Service of the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic has the following information.

Buksha V. V. On December 21, 2017, Amvrosievskiy District Court of the Donetsk People's Republic found him guilty of committing crimes provided for in subsection part 3 of the article 172-1 (Illegal seizure of a vehicle using official position); part 3 of article 174 (Robbery); part 1 of article 256 (Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation and carrying of ammunition) of the Criminal Code of the Donetsk People's Republic. He was sentenced to ten years imprisonment. The convict does not hold the Russian Federation citizenship.

The criminal case of Korneyev N.A., a native of Moscow, a citizen of the Russian Federation, was heard on October 10, 2017, by the Budyonnovskiy inter-district court of Donetsk of the Donetsk People's Republic. The accused was acquitted, released from custody in the courtroom and left for the Russian Federation.

With regard to Pudov A.V., the law enforcement agencies of the Donetsk People's Republic are investigating a criminal case instituted for the commission of a serious crime.

The Press Service of the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic recalls that this is not the first time when "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" publishes unverified information discrediting the judicial system of the Donetsk People's Republic. In October 2016 there was an article "Judge from the DPR told what the residents of the republic suffer from", which also contained untrue information. The same is observed in publications concerning other branches of power of the Donetsk People's Republic.

The Press Service of the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic draws the attention of the readers of "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" to the apparent tendency of the media to provide distorted information, if not direct misinformation of the reader, publication of unverified information. This practice directly contradicts the ethical norms of journalism and Russian legislation.

In connection with the aforementioned, the Press Service of the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic requires of closed company "Editorial office of Moskovskiy Komsomolets" to publish refutations on this case of distribution of false information, and further recommends to keep within the article 51 of the RF Law No. 2124-1 of 12/27/1991 (as amended on 07/03/2016) "On the Mass Media".
