The People's Council amended the current legislation regulating levy of court fees

On March 10, 2018, according to the agenda of the plenary session, the deputies considered the draft law "On Amendments to Article 4 of the Law of the Donetsk People's Republic "On Judicial Collection" elaborated by the working group of the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic.

Olga Tarasenko, the main specialist of the international cooperation sector of the Judicial Department at the Supreme Court told about the essence of the bill.

"The bill is aimed at improving the current legislation regulating levy of court fees by eliminating a legal gap related to the lack of regulations that determine the amount of the court fee for filing a supervisory complaint," the representative of the Supreme Court of the DPR said.

Olga Tarasenko also noted that the adoption of the proposed amendments will positively affect the filling of the revenue of the republican budget.

Taking into account the relevance of the proposed amendments, the deputies adopted the bill in two readings in general. Further, the Law will be sent for signature to the Head of the Republic and will come into force after its publication on the official website of the People's Council of the DPR.
